Summer 2006 bar passage: The story within the story
How does one measure institutional success? When it comes to law school, many would suggest that simple bar passage rates are the measure by which we should judge legal education. For many years, LSU Law Center students have achieved the highest bar passage rate among all examinees on the bar exam. And, according to the results released in September 2006 by the Committee on the Bar Admissions for the Supreme Court of Louisiana, LSU Law retained its first place ranking among all public and private law school in the July 2006 examination. Law Students and faculty launch second 100 years
Mike the Tiger leads the LSU Law Center faculty, staff, and students in a toast to the “Second One-Hundred Years of LSU Law” at the September 25 All-School Celebration. The photo was taken on the steps of the historic 1936 law building. Amid cheers from faculty, staff, students, and Mike the Tiger, the LSU Law Center toasted the beginning of the “Second One-hundred Years of LSU Law.” The September 25 event included an all-school photo, a special toast, and lunch on the Centennial Plaza. Campus Federal Credit Union sponsored the "All-School Celebration.

five classes hold reunions
LSU Law Center graduates and friends gathered for Alumni Weekend on October 13-14, 2006. As part of the festivities, Law Center classes of 1966, 1976, 1981, 1986, and 1996 turned out for their respective reunions. The weekend also included several opportunities for reuniting classmates and renewing old friendships by way of two free CLEs, an All Alumni Reception, and a Saturday Hats ‘n Canes tailgate party on the steps of the old law building that really rocked the house.
