Course Catalog – Wrongful Conviction
(LAW 5637) Wrongful Conviction Clinic (3)
This is an experiential clinical course in which students learn about the causes and remedies of wrongful convictions, post-conviction and habeas practice, and essential lawyers skills through direct assistance of cases at Innocence & Justice Louisiana (formerly known as Innocence Project New Orleans). The course will be housed in the LSU Law Clinic and is a collaboration between the LSU Law Center and Innocence & Justice Louisiana. It is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs which covers the entire costs of the program. The course will be graded on a ranked pass/fail (E=excellent, HP=high pass, P=pass, F=fail).
