Wendell H. Holmes
Professor Emeritus
Biography
After graduating from law school, Professor Holmes joined the Jackson, Mississippi law firm of Butler, Snow, O'Mara, Stevens & Cannada, where he was a partner from 1981-1983. From 1983-1987, Professor Holmes served on the law faculty at the University of Mississippi. He joined the LSU faculty in 1987, after spending the Fall 1986 semester as a visiting professor. He is the co-author of West's Louisiana Civil Law Treatise on Business Organizations, and has published a number of articles on contracts, agency, business associations, and commercial law. He was a member of the Mississippi Secretary of State's Business Law Reform Task Force in 1986, and has lectured extensively in continuing legal education programs. He is a member of the American Law Institute.
