How to Start Up and Shut Down AV Equipment

This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions to start up classroom audiovisual equipment in Rooms 106, 108, 110, 212, 214, 216, 301, 303, W210, W220, and W230.  It also provides instructions to shut down audio equipment and log out of the classroom PC.

Go to Classroom Lectern

Each classroom lectern has two LCD monitors, a touchscreen to turn AV equipment on, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a document camera.

 

Press “Power On” to Start AV Equipment

Press “POWER ON” on the lower right of the touchscreen.

 

Log in with myLSU User name and Password

Log in with your myLSU user name and password.

The projector will  show the monitor on the right.  The monitor on the left is only visible behind the podium.

 

AV Touchscreen Buttons

  1. Turn System Off
  2. Blank Screen
  3. Turn Camera On/Off
  4. Ceiling Microphone Mute
  5. Adjust Audio
  6. Switch between presentation source

 

Press “Power Off” to Shut Down AV Equipment

Press “Shutdown Now” to Confirm

Log Out of PC

Windows 11 with Start Menu visible.

Remember to log out of the PC.  Shutting down the audiovisual equipment does not log out your myLSU account from the PC.

  1. Press Microsoft Start button in center of PC taskbar.
  2. Press Account button at bottom of Start Menu.

 

Press “Sign Out”
