The Edwin W. Edwards Distinguished Professorship was created in 1998 by a group of donors after Edwin Washington Edwards (’49), completed his fourth term as Governor of the State of Louisiana in 1996. Governor Edwards’ brother, Marion, spearheaded the effort.
