1950s

Charles H. Ryan ('58) retired from practice after 40 years with the Boles Law Firm in Monroe and since 1998, has happily resided in Oaxaca, Mexico.

1960s

Ben Miller, 1961Ben Miller ('61) has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Public Affairs Research Council.

Leon Reymond Jr., 1969Leon J. Reymond, Jr. ('69), with the firm of Liskow & Lewis, was recently selected for the 2009 Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

1970s

Robert Fenet, 1972Robert W. Fenet ('72) has recently acquired the Americas Insurance Company, a Louisiana domiciled property and casualty insurance company with headquarters in New Orleans and offices in Baton Rouge and Monroe. Bob is the founding partner of the Fenet Law Firm in Baton Rouge.

Philip Jones, 1974Philip K. Jones ('74), with the firm of Liskow & Lewis, was recently selected for the 2009 Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

Alfred Boustany, 1977Alfred F. Boustany II ('77) is with the Boustany Law Firm in Lafayette, Louisiana. He and his wife, Patricia, celebrated 25 years of marriage this year and have three children, Alfred, Ava, Meredith.

David A. LeClere ('79) is the owner of LeClere Law Firm, APLC and Alliance Title, LLC with offices in Abbeville, Baton Rouge, Houma, and Lafayette.

Howard Romaine ('79) practices in Tennessee—primarily tort and appellate practice, with some criminal defense. He also does some writing—technical legal, as well as journalistic. He recenlty wrote a lead article on the Hon. Sonia Sotomeyer for The Tennesse Tribune.

1980s

William Bennett, 1982Wm. Blake Bennett ('82), with the firm of Liskow & Lewis, was recently selected to the 2009 Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

Greg Landry, 1983Gregory L. Landry ('83) has been elected to serve a one-year term as District Governor for Rotary International District 6200 (South central and Southwest Louisiana). He is the Litigation Unit Leader for Acadiana Legal Service Corporation, a private non-profit public interest law firm with 15 attorneys.

Maj. Gen. Harry J. "Skip" Philips, Jr. ('83) retired from the U.S. Army Reserve on May 16. He was last assigned as Commanding General, 377th Theater Sustainment Command in New Orleans. He is a partner with the firm of Taylor Porter.

James Brown, 1984James A. Brown ('84), with the firm of Liskow & Lewis, was recently selected for the 2009 Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

Jonathan Hunter, 1987Jonathan A. Hunter ('87), with the firm of Liskow & Lewis, was recently selected for the 2009 Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

David Wheat, 1988David Wheat ('88) is a partner in the Tax Practice Group at Thompson & Knight LLP. He has been named to The Best Lawyers in America, Texas Super Lawyers, Chambers USA, and Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Tax Advisors. He is also past Chair of the American Bar Association and Texas Bar Association. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife, Terry, and their two children, Susan and Mary.

1990s

Michael Phillips, 1991Michael R. Phillips ('91) has joined the firm of Kean Miller as a partner. Phillips was formerly a partner with Frilot, LLC.

Tara L. Mason ('96) is a partner at Lobman, Carnahan, Batt, Angelle & Nader in New Orleans. She is currently expanding her litigation practice to include employment discrimination cases and is working to develop an employment discrimination section for the firm.

Alan Dabdoub ('97) is the Chief Litgation and Labor & Employment Counsel at FedEx Office and Print Services in Dallas, Texas.

2000s

Darrin Forte ('00) is a partner with Garrison, Yount, Forte & Mulcahy, LLC in New Orleans. The firm recently opened a new office in Covington, Louisiana.

Dan Stigall ('00) received his LL.M.—with highest honors—in International & Comparative Law from George Washington University and was promoted to the rank of Major in the U.S. Army JAG Corps.

Shawn Carter, 2003Shawn A. Carter ('03) is with the firm of Durio, McGoffin, Stagg & Ackermann in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Daniel M. Cooper ('07) has joined Tillman Law Firm, LLC as an associate attorney in the firm's Alexandria, Louisiana office.

Brad Resweber, 2007Brad R. Resweber ('07) was named in the Atlanta Business Chronicle's 2009 special edition The Dealmakers for his work representing a public utility company in the issuance of $550 million in securities in 2008. He is an associate in the Atlanta office of Troutman Sanders, LLP.

Michael Letourneau ('09) was presented The Law League of Louisiana's Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips Law School Merit Award. The award goes to a law school graduate from each Louisiana law school, and is based on grades.
