1950s

Marc Dupuy, Jr. (’54) is with Dupuy & Didier; 313 N. Monroe Street in Marksville, La.  He received his B.S. in Geology from LSU in 1952 and was admitted to practice law 1953.  He is a member of the Law Center’s Mineral Law Institute Advisory Council.

William "Bill" Crawford ('55), James J. Bailey Professor of Law, is still teaching at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Professor Crawford has also been the director of the Louisiana Law Institute since 1978.

1960s

Gerald LeVan, 1962Gerald Le Van (’62) is Chair, Family Wealth Mediation of Upchurch Watson White and Max, a Florida-based mediation firm. His international practice serves family businesses and wealth-sharing families.

Frank J. Polozola, 1965Frank J. Polozola ('65), U. S. District Judge, Middle District of Louisiana, was selected 2009 Distinguished Jurist by the Louisiana Bar Foundation.

Jack Robichaux ('69), Robichaux, Mize, Wadsack & Richardson, LLC, & Ironclad Title, LLC, was recently elected President of the Louisiana Land Title Association, a trade association of some 350 members who are either real estate attorneys, abstractors, title insurance agents, and Title Insurance Companies.  Jack was also recently elected President of the St. Thomas More Society of Southwest Louisiana, a organization of Catholic Attorneys from Southwest Louisiana and is completing his third term as a member of the Board of Governors of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

1970s

Kenny Murov (‘75) has been practicing law in Virginia since 1975 and specializing in family law.  He is currently serving a second term on the Virginia State Bar Council as a representative of the 7th Judicial District.  He’s married to Robin Murov and has three children and two grandchildren.

Jerry L. Hermann ('79), partner, Kopfler & Hermann, Houma, Louisiana, says he enjoyed visiting with his classmates at the recent 30th class reunion.

Sidney Patin ('79) is in solo practice in the shadow of Pikes Peak.  He is enjoying life in Colorado Springs and, “hasn't been recognized for anything.”  He’s “just a good guy and a good lawyer.”

1980s

Charles Addison Riddle III, (’80) is senior partner in Riddle and Moreau Law Office.  He was elected District Attorney of the 12th Judicial District and practices in the Marksville area.

Julie Mobley Lafargue, 1981Julie Mobley Lafargue ('81), Abrams & Lafargue, LLC, was recently elected President Elect of the Shreveport Bar Association.

William Goforth, 1982William H. Goforth (‘82), Goforth & Lilley, was recognized in Super Lawyers 2010 listing by Law & Politics Magazine as the top five (5%) percent of lawyers in Louisiana.  He was also listed as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Louisiana by the American Trial Lawyers Association.

1990s

Michael Harold ('90) resides in New Orleans and practices at the law firm of Simon Peragine Smith and Redfearn on general litigation and toxic torts. Member of La Bar Foundation, La Bar, and Mississippi Bar. Fluent in Spanish. Serves on the boards of the Sociedad Espanola, Musical Arts Society of New Orleans, Alliance Franciase, English Speaking Union, and AMICI. Directs an English in Action program to help tutor recent immigrants to the city in English. Classical pianist (mostly charity events).

Donna Grodner, 1991Donna Unkel Grodner (’91) is with Grodner and Associates, A.P.L.C., in Baton Rouge.

Marjorie McKeithen, 1991Marjorie McKeithen ('91), Jones Walker, was named to New Orleans CityBusiness' Leadership in Law class of 2010.

J. E. Cullens, 1994J. E. Cullens, Jr. (’94), Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, LLC, has been selected as a member of the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL), Class of 2010.

Darrel Papillion, 1994Darrel J. Papillion (’94), Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, LLC, was elected to a three year term on the Board of Governors of the Louisiana State Bar Association representing the Fifth Board District.

Shawn M. Heath, 1996Shawn M. Heath ('96) joined the Tallahassee office of GrayRobinson, P.A.  as a shareholder in the litigation practice group. Heath brings more than 10 years of experience in construction, architectural and engineering liability.

Sarah Kirkpatrick, 1996Sarah A. Kirkpatrick (’96), Bradley Murchison Kelly & Shea LLC, former Special Counsel, is now a full Partner at the firm’s Shreveport office.  Sarah practices in the firm’s Business Litigation and Energy sections and handles toxic tort litigation as well as transactional work for gas pipelines and in the developing area of water rights.

Alan Dabdoub ('97) has joined the Dallas litigation boutique, Lynn Tillotson Pinker & Cox, LLP. Dabdoub is formerly Chief Litigation Counsel of FedEx Office.

William M. Quin, II (’97), McCraney, Montagnet & Quin PLLC, was recently certified as a Life Member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He practices in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Michael Monahan ('98) has become a partner with Pattishall, McAuliffe, Newbury, Hilliard & Geraldson LLP, of Chicago, Illinois.  Michael practices in the areas of trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and other intellectual property, and sub-specializes in the law of video games and related technologies.  Michael teaches Video Game Law at Chicago-Kent Law School and is a frequent speaker on the law of video games, massively-multiplayer online games and social networking issues.

Wendi Barbari Loup, 1999Wendi Barbari Loup (’99), Lamar Advertising, was named Director of Baton Rouge International School Foundation.

Valerie Mayhall, 1999Valerie Lege’ Mayhall, M.S., J.D. (’99) and her husband, Van R. Mayhall, III (‘01) had a baby boy on October 7, 2009.  The baby’s name is Gabriel Lege’ Mayhall.

2000s

Penelope "Penny" Brobst Blackwell ('00), Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was elected President-Elect of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers for 2010 and will serve as President of the Association in 2011.

Chad Dudley, 2000Chad A. Dudley (’00), is with Dudley DeBosier Injury Lawyers in Baton Rouge.

Neil Coig, 2001Neil Coig (‘01), nolaIP, LLC, has recently founded a new intellectual property firm, nolaIP, in New Orleans.

Lee White, 2001Lee White ('01), Jackson Walker partner, was recently appointed to the board of directors for Downtown Dallas Inc. Prior to his election to the board, White served as the Chairperson for the Ordinances/Codes/Permits Sub-Committee of Downtown Dallas Inc.

Michelle D. Craig, 2002Michelle D. Craig ('02), Adams and Reese attorney, was named to New Orleans Mayor-Elect Mitch Landrieu's Blight Task Force to assist in the transition of his administration as he prepares to take office May 3, 2010. Landrieu has a total of 14 task force panels that will provide input on a range of topics, from blight to contracting to housing and health care.

Cullen Ryan (‘03) is with the Law Office of Carlos Martinez and Assistant Public Defender of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Christopher A. Young (’03) is with Perry & Young, P.A. in Panama City, FL  He obtained a $4.1 million jury verdict after a week-long jury trial on behalf of his clients who were severely injured in an automobile accident. It is the largest verdict ever awarded by a jury in Jackson County, Florida.

Jason A. Green, 2004Jason A. Green, ('04), Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway, serves on the Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee of the Defense Research Institute.

Brandon A. Politz (’04), Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway, was honored as a Northwest Louisiana “40 Under 40 Recipient." The program recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers, and professionals in public, private, or non-profit sectors under the age of forty. Winners are chosen based on such values as achievement, experience and innovation, vision, leadership, and community involvement.

Michael A. Villa, Jr. (’04), Meadows, Collier, Reed, Cousins, Crouch & Ungerman, LLP, was recognized in Texas Monthly as a 2010 Texas Rising Star in the areas of Taxation and White Collar Criminal Defense.

Suzanne Bourgeois ('07), Career Counselor at the Law Center, is the proud mother of Katherine Marie Bourgeois, born March 31, 2010. Suzanne, husband Brad, and "Kate" are doing well.

John Thibaut, '68.  “John was one of the most loved members of our class and a consumate lawyer,” noted a fellow alum.
