1960s

John M. Wilson ('67), Liskow & Lewis, was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers. The 2010 Louisiana Super Lawyers is based on the survey of more than 15,000 attorneys who have been in practice for five years or more. Leon J. Reymond, Jr. ('69), Liskow & Lewis, was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers. Charles S. Weems III, ('69), Gold, Weems, Bruser,  Sues and Rundell, was elected president of the Louisiana State Law Institute for the year 2010. Weems has served as its vice president since 2004. Weems is the former chairman of the LSU Board of Supervisors and a past president of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He currently serves as chairman of the England Authority and is president of his Alexandria law firm.

Fred Preis, 1974Fred Preis ('74), Lemle & Kelleher, L.L.P., was selected by Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL) to participate in "Leadership Louisiana" for 2010.

George H. Robinson, Jr. ('74), Liskow & Lewis, was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers. Gerald J. Block, ('75), Lafayette attorney, was awarded the Criminal Justice Act Panel Attorney Award. Block received the award during the 24th Annual Justice Albert Tate Jr. Awards Banquet held in New Orleans in December 2009.

Keith R. Colvin, 1976Kevin R. Colvin ('76)  has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors for 2009-2010 for the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI). Colvin has served on the Board of Directors and multiple committees within NORLI since his graduation from the NORLI Class of 2004. Colvin is head of the Real Estate Section of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC.

James C. Percy, 1977James C. Percy ('77), Jones Walker, has been elected to the firm's Board of Directors for a four-year term, commencing January 1, 2010. Percy is a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group. His practice primarily focuses on Commercial Litigation, Environmental and Utilities Regulatory Work, and Government Relations.

1990s

V. Thomas Clark, Jr., 1990V. Thomas Clark, Jr. ('90), Adams and Reese LLP, has been named Partner in Charge of the firm's Baton Rouge office. The firm has 12 Partners in Charge, one for each of its offices across the southern United States and Washington D.C. Clark is responsible for the overall administration of the Baton Rouge office. Clark  focuses on Complex Commercial Litigation and Insurance Regulatory Dispute Resolution, as well as Filmed Entertainment Representation.

2000s

Wes Raborn (01) was recently named General Counsel for Shilo Inns & Suites, the largest privately owned hotel chain on the West Coast with 40 locations in Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Texas and Utah.

Scott Huffstetler, 2003Scott Huffstetler ('03) is a new partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller.  Prior to joining the firm, Scott served as a Law Clerk to United States District Court Judge Frank J. Polozola, Middle District of Louisiana. Scott practices in the firm’s Labor and Employment Law group.

Edward D. Hughes, 2003Edward D. Hughes ('03) has become a partner in the firm of Taylor Porter. Hughes' primary areas of practice include Workers' Compensation, Commercial Litigation, Toxic Tort Litigation, Oil & Gas Litigation and Transactions and Insurance Defense and Casualty Litigation.

Jason P. Mueller, 2003Jason P. Mueller ('03), Adams and Reese LLP,  was elected partner in the firm's New Orleans office. Mueller is an attorney in the Special Business Practice Group in the New Orleans and Houston offices and practices in the areas of Intellectual Property and Technology.

Tara Madison, 2004Tara Madison ('04) is a new partner in the Baton Rouge office of Kean Miller.  She joined the firm in 2004 and practices in the Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property groups.  She has particular experience in trademark, copyright, trade dress, and trade secret matters, including copyright and trademark infringement litigation.

Daniel Terrell ('04) has returned to private practice joining Griffith Nixon Davison in Dallas, TX.
