Michael Rubin, 1975Michael H. Rubin ('75), a senior member at McGlinchey Stafford, was selected as Best Lawyers in America’s 2009 Baton Rouge Banking Lawyer of the Year.

Alton Bayard, 1976Alton E. Bayard III ('76), an attorney with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers.

Malcolm S. Murchison ('77) is now practicing with the firm of Bradley, Murchison, Kelly & Shea, which has offices in Shreveport and New Orleans.

Sherb Sentell, 1995Sherb Sentell III ('95), the Chief Assistant District Attorney for Schuyler Marvin at the Webster District Attorney's Office, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is the Operations Officer of the 7th Brigade of the 95th Division, which has historically played an important role in training soldiers. He was also awarded the meritorious service medal for exceptional performance as a Battalion Executive Officer and as the Brigade Operations Officer.

Keith W. Lapeze ('98) has left Vinson & Elkins to start his own firm in Houston, Lapeze & Dunahoe.

Maggie Simar ('98) was elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Tara Richard, 1999Tara G. Richard ('99), a partner with Jones Walker, was named one of two finalists for the American Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division 2008 Outstanding Young Lawyer. Amanda Stout, 2003Amanda Stout ('03), an associate in the firm of McGlinchey Stafford's labor and employment section, is the 2009 recipient of the Judge Joseph Keogh award. The award, given annually by the Baton Rouge Bar Association, is the highest award that a young attorney is eligible to receive from the Bar Association.

Jonathan Woods ('03) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Jeremy Morrow ('04) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.
