1960s

Gordon L. Hackman ('65) is semi-retired and practices in New Orleans in the areas of Personal Injury, Social Security, and Workers Compensation.

John Cox, 1968John T. Cox, Jr. ('68) is concluding his service as president of the Shreveport Bar Association at the end of the year and will assume the presidency of the Committee of One Hundred, Inc. on January 1, 2009. Cox is director of the firm of Blanchard, Walker, O'Quin & Roberts in Shreveport.

1970s

Albin A. Provosty, III ('71) is with the firm of Provosty, Sadler, deLaunay, Fiorenza & Sobel PLC in Alexandria, Louisiana.

William Grimley, 1974William D. Grimley ('74) practices in Baton Rouge and will soon have his first novel, Perception, published.

1980s

Hon. Don Johnson ('82), of the 19th Judicial District Court, received a Masters of Justice Management Degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. His son Jordy recently received a bachelor of science degree in pre-physical therapy from McNeese State University.

Susan Halsey, 1983Susan A. Halsey ('83) was recently selected as one of Fort Worth, Texas magazine's "Top Attorneys." She is a partner with Jackson Walker in Fort Worth and is the statewide chair of the firm's Real Estate practice group.

John LaMaster, 1986John LaMaster ('86) is a partner and the Global Head of Oil and Gas at Dewey & LeBoeuf in London, England.

Hon. Charles B. Adams ('87) is currently the District Judge for the 11th Judicial District Court.

Dan Balhoff, 1988Daniel J. Balhoff ('88) is with the firm of Perry, Atkinson, Balhoff, Mengis & Burns in Baton Rouge. He and his wife Kathy have four children–Catherine, 13, Joey, 11, Caroline, 9, and Paul, 8.

Kathleen Gallagher ('88) is leaving Vinson & Elkins after 20 years to join the partnership of Beck Redden in Houston, Texas effective January 1, 2009.

Jay J. Harris ('88) practices in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Joseph M. Roussel ('88) has been named the Assistant Director for Litigation Management in the Office of Risk Management, Division of Administration.

Kenneth Brister, 1989Kenneth "Andy" Brister ('89) and his wife Laurie ('91) are both assistant district attorneys for the 6th JDC, where they have served since 2001. The couple are also partners in Brister & Brister APLC general civil practice. They have two children, Allison, 14, and Jacob, 11.

Mary L. Meyer ('89) is a partner with Adams and Reese LLP in New Orleans. She is also team leader for the firm's Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Team.

Joe Wiley, 1989Joe Wiley ('89) was recently appointed by Gov. Bobby Jindal to serve on the state Board of Regents. Wiley also serves as vice president and general counsel to EXCEL Companies in Baton Rouge.

1990s

Christine G. Gaynor ('94) is with Bahret & Associates Co., LPA in Holland, Ohio.

Michael Trachtenberg ('94) is finishing his Ph.D. in financial economics at the University of New Orleans. He expects to teach at a business school in the fall of 2009.

Dawn Bonnecaze, 1997Dawn D. Bonnecaze ('97) became a partner with Taylor Porter in Baton Rouge. Her practice areas include Taxation, Corporate Transactions, and Insurance Regulatory Law.

Troy Brooks ('98) owns his own law firm, Troy Brooks & Associates, PC in Houston. The firm handles civil litigation as well as business and commercial litigation.

Hilliard Kelly, 1998Hilliard "Trey" Kelly ('98) is with the firm of McCranie, Sistrunk, Anzelmo, Hardy, Maxwell & McDaniel in Metairie, Louisiana. In addition to his legal work, Kelly has been deployed to Iraq twice as a combat helicopter pilot. He is currently a Major in the Texas National Guard and has been awarded the Bronze Medal twice, Air Medal, and Combat Action Badge.

Jennifer Richie ('98) recently became Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Irving, Texas.

Neil Rombardo, 1998Neil A. Rombardo ('98) is the district attorney for Carson City, Nevada. He is married with two children.

Lauren Rea Sullivan ('98) is with the firm of Troy Brooks & Associates, PC in Houston. She is married and has a 5-year-old daughter named Caroline.

2000s

Michelle Marney, 2000M. Michelle Marney ('00) became a partner with Taylor Porter in Baton Rouge. Her practice areas include Enviornmental Law and Toxic Tort.

Philip Hackney ('01) has been promoted to the position of Senior Technician Reviewer of Exempt Organizations Branch 2, a division of the Office of the Chief Counsel of the IRS.

Tommy Gildersleeve, 2002Tommy D. Gildersleeve ('02) became a partner with Taylor Porter in Baton Rouge. His practice areas include Environmental Law and Toxic Tort.

Stephen Paine, 2005Stephen J. Paine ('05) is an associate with Hogan & Hartson LLP in Boulder, Colorado.

Peter J. Pohorelsky ('06) is an associate at Scofield, Gerard, Singeltary, & Pohorelsky in Lake Charles.

Jessica Gladney, 2008Jessica L. Gladney ('08) is an associate with Liskow & Lewis in New Orleans. She practices in the firm's business and energy litigation sections.
