Richard Arsenault (’80) received the 2023 AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell for the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. Arsenault and his firm, Neblett, Beard & Arsenault, will be recognized in the 2023 U.S. News "Best Law Firm" in the Admiralty & Maritime Law and Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions.

1990s
Judge Sharon Darville Wilson (’91) has been appointed by the Louisiana Supreme Court to serve as judge of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals from Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2026. Prior to her election to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Wilson was elected to serve as Fourteenth Judicial District Court Judge from 2014 to 2020; she served as Chief Judge of the Fourteenth JDC from 2017 to 2018 and co-founded the Veterans Treatment Court in Calcasieu Parish. Judge Wilson has served as an executive board member for the Louisiana District Judges Association and as a district-judge member of the Judiciary Commission from 2019 to 2020.
