1970s

David R. Cassidy ('75) has been named to the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers in Tax, Business/Corporate.


Michael H. Rubin (‘75) of McGlinchey Stafford has been named the 2020 recipient of the Frederick S. Lane Award by the American College of Real Estate Lawyers in recognition of his exceptional service to the public, the legal profession, and the ACREL.

 


Murphy J. Foster, III ('79) has been named to the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers in Construction Litigation, Employment & Labor.

1980s

Richard J. Arsenault (‘80) recently chaired the LSBA 20th Annual Complex Litigation Symposium. Arsenault was also selected by U.S. News & World Report for inclusion in the 2021 Best Lawyers Rankings and selected as one of the 2020/2021 Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys for Louisiana by the Best of the Best Attorneys Publication.

 

 

 


Rodolfo “Rudy” Aguilar, Jr. (‘82), Managing Member of McGlinchey Stafford, announced the firm’s recognition as a 2020 “Top Performer” by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) for the third year in a row.

 

 

 

 


David R. Kelly ('82) has been named to the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers in Tax, Class Action/Mass Torts, Civil Litigation.


Eve B. Masinter ('82) has been named to the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers in Employment & Labor, Civil Litigation, Insurance Coverage.


Piper Griffin (‘87) has filled the Louisiana Supreme Court justice seat of Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson ('69), who retired at the end of 2020.

 

 

 

 


Jude C. Bursavich ('88) has been named to the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers in Business Litigation, Energy & Natural Resources, Class Action/Mass Torts.

1990s

Michael Baldwin (‘93) of Jackon Walker was selected for inclusion on the 2020 Super Lawyers list.


Edmund Giering (‘94) was recently named the 2020 recipient of the Outstanding In-House Counsel Award for distinguished service by a nonprofit in-house counsel by the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association business law section. 

 

 

 


Thomas R. Temple ('98) has been named to the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers in Civil Litigation, Personal Injury - Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury - General.

2000s

Kyle Ferachi (‘01) has joined Hinshaw & Culbertson in Houston as Partner. Ferachi represents companies in the financial services, energy, hospitality, and other sectors in a wide range of employment matters, including wage and hour litigation, employment discrimination, and general employment advice and counsel.


Philip Hackney (‘01) was recently named the 2020 recipient of the Outstanding In-House Counsel Award for distinguished service by a nonprofit in-house counsel by the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association business law section. 


Bradley A. Stevens (‘05)nephew and former law partner of Gov. John Bel Edwards ('99), has been named to the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System by Edwards. Stevens is scheduled to represent the 1st Congressional District on the 16-member board. 

 

 

 


Carroll Devillier, Jr. ('06) has been named in the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Business Litigation.


Chris Nichols (‘07) of McGlinchey Stafford has received recognition in the latest edition of Managing Intellectual Property magazine’s 2020 “IP Stars” as a 2020 “Notable Practitioner.”

 

 

 


Peyton Lambert ('09) has been promoted to Partner at Locke Lord in New Orleans. Lambert focuses his practice on property and casualty, bankruptcy, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, and general civil litigation.

2010s

Scott L. Sternberg (‘10) will serve as a 2021 board member for the Pro Bono Project, which works to provide free, quality civil legal services to the underserved members of the community.

 

 

 

 


Druit Gremillion ('11) has been named in the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in General Litigation.


Graham Ryan (‘11) will serve as a 2021 board member for the Pro Bono Project, which works to provide free, quality civil legal services to the underserved members of the community.


Joseph J. Cefalu, III ('12) has been named in the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Civil Litigation.


Danielle L. Borel ('14) has been named in the 2021 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Business Litigation, Health Care, Intellectual Property Litigation.


Ashley Carver Meredith (‘14) was elected Partner at Taylor Porter, where she has been since 2014. Porter practices in a wide array of areas including commercial litigation, commercial transactions, health care compliance, estate planning, and successions.


Lucas Self (‘16) has joined Caplin & Drysdale as an Associate in Caplin & Drysdale’s Complex Litigation and Bankruptcy practice groups in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.


Madaline King (‘18) has joined Butler Snow’s Baton Rouge office, where she will practice with the firm’s tort, transportation, and specialized litigation group. 


Juan Moreno (‘20) has joined Butler Snow’s Baton Rouge office, where he will practice with the firm’s commercial litigation group.
