1970s

  John Pearce (’76) has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by New Orleans Magazine for his work in Mining Law.
  John David Ziober (’78) was elected president of the Louisiana State Law Institute.

1980s

  Judge Piper Griffin (’87) was elected treasurer of the Louisiana District Judges Association for the 2017-2018 term.
  Judge C. Wendell Manning (’88) was elected president of the Louisiana District Judges Association for the 2017-2018 term.

1990s

N. Stephan Kinsella ('91) appeared before the Yale Political Union to debate in the affirmative the topic, "Resolved: Intellectual Property Should Be Abolished!" (Dec. 5, 2017). He lectures and speaks frequently on legal and political theory. He has published several books including Louisiana Civil Law Dictionary (Quid Pro Books, 2011). Forthcoming books include International Investment, Political Risk, and Dispute Resolution: A Practitioner’s Guide, 2nd ed. (Oxford University Press, 2018) and Law in a Libertarian World: Legal Foundations of a Free Society (PFS Press, 2018).
  Catherine M. Maraist (’98) has joined Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP’s Healthcare Practice Group in the firm’s Baton Rouge Office
  Judge Brady O'Callaghan (’98) was elected secretary of the Louisiana District Judges Association for the 2017-2018 term.

2000s

  Benton Toups (’00) was recently listed among the 2018 Legal Elite in Business North Carolina.
Joseph B. Marino III (’05) has joined The Young Firm as an attorney in its New Orleans office.
  Franz N. Borghardt (’06) was selected to the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Forty Under 40. Borghardt also was elected as President of the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
  Claire E. Juneau (’07) has been named partner in Kean Miller LLP’s New Orleans office.
  Louie Layrisson (’08) was named partner at Baker Botts in Houston.
  Kristen Ford (’09) was named partner at Mayer Brown LLP’s Houston office.
  John Parker Jr. (’09), partner at Taylor Porter, has been elected President of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, committed to serving the needs of federal practitioners employed or residing in Baton Rouge area.

2010s

  Amanda Bourgeois (’10) has been named partner in Kean Miller LLP’s Baton Rouge office.
Ashley Tufts (’10) accepted a position as Senior Counsel at Talen Energy.
  Amanda Collura-Day (’11) has been named partner in Kean Miller LLP’s Baton Rouge office.
  Joseph J. Cefalu III (’12) has been named partner in Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP’s Baton Rouge office.
  Valerie E. Fontenot ('13) has joined the law firm of Baldwin Haspel Burke & Mayer, LLC in New Orleans as a litigation attorney.
  Ryan McAlister (’17) has joined Gordon Arata Montgomery Barnett as an associate in the firm’s Lafayette office.
  Patrick R. Schmidt (’17) has joined Perrier & Lacoste as an associate.
