1970s
Oliver G. "Rick" Richard III ('77) was inducted into the LSU Manship School of Journalism Hall of Fame and was also appointed vice chairman of The Nature Conservancy of Louisiana.
1980s
Jerry F. Pepper ('85) was admitted to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mathile Abramson, ('88) was named to the Louisiana Supreme Court to temporarily serve as 23rd Judicial District Judge. She is a member of the law firm of Kean, Miller, Hawthorne, D'Armond, McCowan and Jarman LLP, where she specializes in the areas of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
R. David Wheat ('88) was a featured speaker at the Practicing Law Institute's Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Financing, Reorganizations & Restructurings 2007 conference held in Los Angeles. Wheat is a partner in the Dallas office of Thompson & Knight
1990s
Justin B. Schmidt ('98) was elected to partnership in the New Orleans office of Adams and Reese where he is a member of the real estate team. His practice emphasizes land use and zoning matters.
2000s
Kelly T. Scalise ('00) was made a partner at Liskow & Lewis where she practices in the areas of admiralty, oilfield issues, insurance, tort defense and products liability.
Ravi Sangisetty ('06) joined McGlinchey Stafford where he is an associate in the commercial litigation section of the firm's New Orleans office. Prior to joining McGlinchey, he completed a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Stanwood R. Duval, Jr., U.S. District Court Judge, Eastern District of Louisiana.
