1970s

Alton E. "Biff" Bayard, III ('76) was named the Best Lawyers 2017 Baton Rouge Trusts and Estates "Lawyer of the Year." Bayard also was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for closely held companies and family businesses law, litigation—trust and estate, litigation and controversy—tax, nonprofit/charities law, tax law, trusts and estates.
Dickie Patterson ('79) was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for government relations practice.

1980s

Paul S. West ('80) was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for corporate law and gaming law.
allen Clay M. Allen ('81) was honored with the 2016 Civic Cup of Lafayette.
Patricia B. McMurray ('86) was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for banking and finance law, bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law, and financial services regulation law.
Errol J. King, Jr. ('86) was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for health care law and insurance law.
Phyllis Cancienne ('89) was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for employment law — management, litigation — labor and employment.

1990s

Warner Delaune ('91) was elected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for technology law and trademark law.

2000s

degravelles2 J. Neale deGravelles (’04) was recently elected as the chair-elect for the Admiralty Practice Section of the American Association of Justice at that organization’s summer meeting in Los Angeles.

2010s
