The Hermann Moyse Sr. Professorship of Law was established by the LSU Board of Supervisors in 1991. Hermann Moyse was important in the life of the law and banking in Louisiana and was a distinguished alumnus of the Law Center who had a major impact on the development of banking law in the state. This professorship was made possible by the generous contributions of Mrs. Moyse, her children and their families, the Louisiana Bankers Association and its Bank Counsel Committee.
