Bernette Joshua Johnson (’69), who retired as Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court at the end of 2020, has had a library named in her honor at Walter L. Cohen High School in New Orleans.
1980s
Richard Arsenault ('80) has been invited to speak at the Louisiana Law Review Annual Symposium on class actions, MDLs, and complex litigation in 2025.
James Viator (’85) delivered the keynote presentation at the 9th general conference of Juris Diversitas at the University of Macau in China on Oct. 24. Juris Diversitas is an international, interdisciplinary community for the study of comparative legal history.

Jonathan Hirsch ('85) has been promoted to Colonel in the United States Army.
2000s
Roger Hamilton (’01) was selected chief judge for the 16th Judicial District. He has served as a district court judge in Division H of the 16th JDC since 2020.
2010s
Alex Nicoll ('13), who serves as general counsel and chief HR officer for AESSEAL Inc., has been included in the Knoxville News Sentinel's 2024 listing of East Tennessee's "40 under 40" community leaders.

Benjamin Parks ('21) has joined Gordon Arata as an associate attorney in the commercial transaction group.
Jennifer Baker (’23) has joined Taylor Porter as an associate. She practices in commercial litigation, unfair competition, and real estate, land use, and property rights law.
