Criminal Law Interviewing & Counseling Competition
The Criminal Law Interviewing & Counseling Competition (CLICC) is a dispute resolution tournament for LSU Law students designed to expose students to the fundamental skills necessary for all successful attorneys, namely the ability to interview, counsel, and support a client through their legal issue. Competitors will conduct an initial intake interview with a person playing the role of the client and then address both the client’s legal and non-legal needs. All of the competition problems are of potential clients facing criminal law issues – competitors will take on the role of a private criminal defense attorney in all rounds. Students will counsel the clients as a team of 2. This competition is open exclusively to students in their last year of law school (e.g., 3Ls).
LSU Law students who are interested in participating in the CLICC in the Spring 2025 semester should self-enroll in the LSU Law Advocacy Competition Resources Moodle page. (Access to this page requires MyLSU login credentials.)
